i couldn't possibly go from gow3 to then be tarnished by a very pale imitator...harsh but true
but for 360 owners i say the best reviewer is yourself so give it a rent if you have no intent on purchasing a ps3
the HD-DVD and bluray concept was finished way before 360 and ps3 was released,microsoft could have gone with hd-dvd as standard but
1)they would have had maybe only a half year headstart rather than a year
2)price would have increased
so basically microsoft thought of their pockets and beating ps3 to the punch rather than whats best for their consumer and gaming
another good thing if microsoft had waited to include hd-dvd and not rush the console...
gow3,uncharted 2 and mgs4 are becoming headaches for multi plat developers.
do they use blurays advantage to theirs or limit their ideas and stick with dvd9? they could make two versions of the same game but ms would try put a stop to that,they could go exclusive but then they would make more revenue going multiplat,this is why theres anger that microsoft is stopping gaming as a whole from progressing and why so many developers are now being vocal about the constraints now and it...

there has been umpteen developer comments basically confirming the game had to be totally reduced drastically in scope and size 'so much we had to cut out' one developer said a while ago, and 'towns were to hard' ...WTF? we had towns in ps2 rpg's, doctored pictures to cover up the 360 version numerous PR gaffs

the reason why it never got a 10 is ridiculous...by their reasoning a fps wont get a perfect score because it has shooting, a driving game wont get a perfect score because it has driving, a beat em up wont get a perfect score because it has fighting....really

between bayonetta and gow...they are nothing alike, you play bayonetta you feel as if your playing DMC
and when i tried out dantes inferno i couldnt enjoy it because it basically copied everything from gow but didnt feel as smooth or slick.
but i still say 360 owners should rent dantes from the sound of it you'll complete it one sitting so save the purchase money for alan wake
